Born and raised in western Washington, Rick grew up enjoying all of the experiences the Pacific Northwest has to offer. He graduated from Central Washington University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics. After college, he worked as an investment representative for a national brokerage house. He then moved on to work for the State of Washington for seven years as a research analyst and economist in the Labor Market and Economic Analysis (LMEA) division of the Employment Security Department.
As an economist, Rick served as the principle industry analyst for the division, while managing both the Employee Benefits Survey program and the legislative policy analysis team. He also developed several other research endeavors, including the 2007 Washington State Input/Output Survey, the Oregon Employee Benefits Survey, and the 2008 Green Jobs Report.
In 2008, Rick decided to take on a new challenge in life and enrolled in graduate school at Fordham University in New York City. He is currently finishing his MBA in Finance and Business Economics and is scheduled to graduate in early 2010.
Rick has many hobbies; he is an avid golfer and fisherman as well as a restorer of classic automobiles and a custom guitar builder.
A West Coast native, Ari graduated from the University of California, Davis in 2005 with a bachelor of science in Wildlife, Fish, and Conservation Biology. His coursework included a rigorous math and science curriculum in addition to core environmental sustainability classes. After college he joined Amgen Incorporated, the world's leading biotechnology company. While at Amgen, Ari worked in clinical operations where he oversaw the commercialization process of trial drug candidates from Phase I through FDA approval. In Fall 2008, Ari chose to pursue a MBA at Fordham University in New York City. At Fordham, he is focusing on Finance and Accounting with a special interest in business sustainability. An avid outdoorsman, in his spare time, Ari enjoys hiking, fishing, sailing, and mountain biking.
Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Steve graduated from Penn State in 2000 with a bachelor of science in Civil Engineering with a focus on structural design and construction management. He joined AECOM, one of the largest engineering and architectural design firms in the world, where he originally worked designing structural components on various bridges, tunnels and highways throughout the United States. Later at AECOM, Steve became a project controls engineer that focused on providing scheduling and construction management consulting services to several regional transportation and infrastructure agencies. Steve is currently pursuing a MBA at Fordham University concentrating on Finance and Marketing. In his free time, he enjoys snowboarding, hiking with his dog, running, playing bass and learning mandolin.
Jace is a graduate of the University of North Carolina. His choice to combine degrees in Global Economics and Political Science provided him with a diverse, interdisciplinary educational background. The curriculum gave insight into international economics and policies, political systems, and cultures, which he experienced firsthand while living in Spain.
Jace relocated to New York to begin work for a leadership consulting firm. His work in the Education and Nonprofit practice included several high-profile clients, relationship management and business development. Currently, Jace is an MBA candidate at Fordham University specializing in Investment Management.
